About Us
In Asher’s memory, we will bring smiles and joy to children and their caregivers when they need it most. Together, let us positively impact their lives with small gestures that will make a world of difference.
We are looking to raise money, receive donations and provide support in the following areas:
Toys & books for kids to play with and read throughout their stay
Enhancements to NICU and PICU floors to create warm environments for patients, families and caregivers
Meals & snacks for nurses, doctors and administrative staff working around the clock
Volunteer time providing additional support within under-resourced areas to ensure nurses and doctors have the ability to focus on patient care
With Smiles for Asher, our mission is to pay it forward by touching as many children, families and caregivers as we can in the same way we were supported. We seek to uplift their spirits, enhance their environments and give them hope and strength to make dark days just a touch brighter.
Together, we can put a smile on the faces of those that need it most, just like Asher continues to do each and every day. Please join our family and help us make this a reality.
Remembering Asher
Beyond his years, Asher was a charmer, a natural jokester, master negotiator, and the sweetest, smartest, happiest little boy you would ever meet. Seeing the world through his little eyes, and the excitement for everything he did, continues to bring us joy every day. While he was taken from us far too soon, his place in our family and our deepest love for him will never fade. There is not a second that goes by when we are not thinking of our little boy, the joy he brought us, what was, what could have been and the unconditional love we have for him, always.
While Asher and our family were fighting for his life, we were touched by so many - family, friends, nurses, doctors and strangers. While in the PICU, we saw the unfortunate reality of so many children and families fighting in the same way we were. From the nurses and doctors who cared for our children like their own, to our families who stood by our side around the clock and others we would pass in the hallways giving us words of hope. The little things people said, did or gave meant the world, gave us hope, comfort and a reason to keep pushing. It was remarkable.
